Tv\u00e5 musikentusiaster best\u00e4mmer sig f\u00f6r att leta r\u00e4tt p\u00e5 Rodriguez, en musiker som aldrig slog igenom i USA, men som av Sydafrikas inv\u00e5nare blev en symbol mot f\u00f6rtryck i en sv\u00e5r tid i\u00a0landets historia\u00a0och som under en l\u00e5ng tidsperiod ans\u00e5gs vara st\u00f6rre \u00e4n b\u00e5de Elvis Presley och Bob Dylan.<\/strong>
\nRodriguez sl\u00e4ppte ett par skivor under 70-talet, f\u00f6r att sedan f\u00f6rsvinna helt.<\/strong>
\nDe enda sp\u00e5r som finns att g\u00e5 p\u00e5 \u00e4r namnet p\u00e5 skivbolaget i USA, d\u00e4r skivorna ursprungligen producerades och l\u00e5ttexterna som Rodriguez sj\u00e4lv har skrivit.<\/strong>
\nEn v\u00e4lgjord dokument\u00e4rfilm som skildrar en fascinerande person med mycket v\u00e4rme och k\u00e4rlek!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Filmen \u00e4r regisserad av Malik Bendjelloul, en svensk regiss\u00f6r (!) som med denna film fick en Oscar f\u00f6r ”B\u00e4sta Dokument\u00e4r”. En bra start p\u00e5 karri\u00e4ren, med tanke p\u00e5 att ”Searching for Sugar Man” var Maliks Filmregidebut!
\nSom sagt s\u00e5 \u00e4r detta en dokument\u00e4rfilm, s\u00e5 f\u00f6r att inte avsl\u00f6ja f\u00f6r mycket v\u00e4ljer jag att inte n\u00e4mna vilka personer som medverkar i filmen.<\/p>\n

Handlingen flyter p\u00e5 v\u00e4ldigt fint och historien ber\u00e4ttas fr\u00e5n tv\u00e5 h\u00e5ll.\u00a0Fr\u00e5n den ena \u00e4nden s\u00e5 ber\u00e4ttar producenterna bakom Rodriguez skivor om hur de uppt\u00e4ckte honom och hur hans karri\u00e4r utvecklades. I andra \u00e4nden f\u00e5r vi h\u00f6ra tv\u00e5 fans ber\u00e4tta om hur de, av en slump kom \u00f6ver Rodriguez debutskiva och om hur de sedan inledde ett intensivt f\u00f6rs\u00f6k f\u00f6r att finna honom.\u00a0N\u00e4r de tv\u00e5 ber\u00e4ttelserna sedan m\u00f6ts, eskalerar handlingen och utvecklas p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt jag inte trodde var m\u00f6jligt i en dokument\u00e4rfilm!<\/p>\n

Regiss\u00f6ren visar p\u00e5 stor fingertoppsk\u00e4nsla n\u00e4r han under historiens g\u00e5ng v\u00e4ljer att sl\u00e4ppa de sp\u00e5r och ledtr\u00e5dar som inte f\u00f6r hans budskap fram\u00e5t.\u00a0Till exempel s\u00e5 kommer handlingen en kort stund in p\u00e5 den finansiella biten och huruvida allt sk\u00f6ttes korrekt, men detta sl\u00e4pper man ganska direkt.<\/p>\n

Filmen \u00e4r som sagt bra och r\u00f6rande. Historierna om hur de tv\u00e5 Rodriguezfansen fann hans musik och f\u00f6r\u00e4lskade sig i den, \u00e4r v\u00e4ldigt inspirerande.<\/p>\n

Jag hade dock \u00f6nskat att Malik ber\u00e4ttat om hur han sj\u00e4lv uppt\u00e4ckte ”The Sugar Man” och valde att g\u00f6ra den h\u00e4r dokument\u00e4ren.
\nF\u00f6rutom den lilla avsaknaden s\u00e5 var filmen perfekt!<\/p>\n
