En fri man som \u00e5r 1841 bor i New York med sin fru och deras tv\u00e5 barn.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>N\u00e4r Solomon en dag reser till Washington i aff\u00e4rer, raseras hans liv; \u00a0drogad och \u00a0kidnappad f\u00f6rs han till en budgivning d\u00e4r han s\u00e4ljs som slav.<br \/>\nHans \u00f6de \u00e4r inte l\u00e4ngre hans eget\u2026 han \u00e4r nu n\u00e5gon annans egendom.<br \/>\n<\/strong><em><strong>Wow vilken dr\u00e4nerande,<\/strong> <strong>men superbt bra film!<!--more--><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Det f\u00f6rsta som slog mig i &#8221;12 Years a Slave&#8221;, var de otroliga rollprestationerna. I rollerna ser vi bl.a Chiwetel Ejiofor som den varma och k\u00e4rleksfulla Solomon, Michael Fassbender som den h\u00e4nsynsl\u00f6se plantage\u00e4garen Edwin Epps och Lupita Nyong&#8217;o som slavinnan Patsey. Lupita Nyong&#8217;o g\u00f6r\u00a0f\u00f6r \u00f6vrigt sin l\u00e5ngfilmsdebut\u00a0i och med den h\u00e4r filmen, och vilken debut sen!<br \/>\nF\u00f6r att inte &#8221;spoliera&#8221; filmen vill jag bara n\u00e4mna att vi i \u00f6vriga roller ser bl.a Benedict Cumberbatch, Brad Pitt, Paul Giamatti och Paul Dano. S\u00e5 det var en v\u00e4ldigt stark cast och alla briljerade verkligen.<\/p>\n<p>Det andra som slog mig med filmen var att den var v\u00e4ldigt h\u00e5rd och hemsk. Sj\u00e4lvklart inneh\u00e5ller de flesta filmer som ber\u00f6r slaveriet obehagliga scener, men i &#8221;12 years a Slave&#8221; drogs man som \u00e5sk\u00e5dare verkligen ned i slaveriets helvetiska v\u00e4rld p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt som ber\u00f6rde mig djupt!<\/p>\n<p>G\u00e4llande filmens uppl\u00e4gg s\u00e5 tyckte jag att sj\u00e4lva twisten; att Solomon fr\u00e5n b\u00f6rjan \u00e4r fri och sedan blir slav genom kidnappning, var v\u00e4ldigt stark och fick mig att associera till den m\u00e4nniskohandel som tyv\u00e4rr p\u00e5g\u00e5r \u00e4n idag&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Fotot var ocks\u00e5 snyggt och man v\u00e5gade ta sig tid med att stanna upp i karakt\u00e4rernas tankar p\u00e5 ett v\u00e4ldigt smakfullt vis.<br \/>\nHans Zimmer stod f\u00f6r fantastisk filmmusik, och det var inte det gamla vanliga str\u00e5kpaketet med sliskiga ackord, utan den inneh\u00f6ll allt fr\u00e5n konstiga synthljud till gospelnummer som verkligen k\u00e4ndes &#8221;old school&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Varf\u00f6r f\u00e5r d\u00e5 filmen ett &#8221; &#8211; &#8221; ? Jo, f\u00f6r att hur fenomenalt allt \u00e4n var, s\u00e5 var filmen oerh\u00f6rt tung och hemsk mer eller mindre rakt igenom. Jag hade g\u00e4rna velat ha ett litet vattenh\u00e5l n\u00e5gonstans p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen, d\u00e4r jag som \u00e5sk\u00e5dare kunde ha f\u00e5tt andas ut i ett par minuter. Men samtidigt fanns det kanske en mening med att inte ge publiken den ynnesten\u2026 Kanske var det just tack vare filmens konstanta psykiska press som jag blev s\u00e5 ber\u00f6rd. Solomon var slav i 12 \u00e5r.
